Christmas 2014

I think I'll let the pictures speak for themselves for this post.  We had a wonderful Christmas morning!

KaLee's Birthday

Another year! I had a pretty great day and was spoiled rotten.  I had lots of help opening my gifts (which I loved, but the kids always wonder why I am excited over "mom" gifts).

Ron was on baby duty, so I lit my own candles.  Don't worry, I didn't also have to sing to myself. :)

32 years. Apparently the blessing of being in your 30s is that you can never remember how old you are.  I seriously have to do the math every time it comes up. I am one lucky gal with so much to be thankful for.

Brynlee: 2 months

Sweet Brynlee turned two months old on December 15th!

This month Brynlee cemented her spot as the favorite child (at least for a while) by starting to sleep through the night at 7 weeks old. She has been sleeping from 11:00 p.m. to 6 or 7 a.m. pretty consistently.

She continues to sleep in her bassinet, in the living room during the day and has moved to the hall during the night - still in her bassinet (her little baby grunts and movement were waking up Mama even when she wasn't really awake).

She is a champion eater and just goes with the flow as we go about our crazy schedule.  She naps in the car seat and also really enjoys the swing.  Her siblings continue to adore her and beg to hold her all day long.  Every time I set her down on one of their laps, she gives me this look that says "what are you doing, mama?!!?!" Thankfully, she has stayed safe during all of those holdings.

Easton turns 7!

Easton somehow continues to age.  Here's his 7 year old interview:

Favorite Color: Gold
Favorite TV Show: Sportscenter
Favorite Movie: Planes
Favorite Food: Ritz Chicken
Favorite Treat: Lemonheads
Favorite Game: Lego Chima Battles
Favorite Sport: Baseball
Favorite Team: BYU
Favorite Toy: Light up car
Favorite Subject at School: Two things are tied - math and science

We celebrated his birthday with family the Sunday before. He asked for a Lego cake and the best mama could do was to stick a few favorite characters into the top of the cake.  Considering most were new, he wasn't too disappointed. :)

If felt like I better include this one, if not just to prove that I do exist in this family.  And to show off that banner that I made for his 1st birthday that comes out every year.

The happy boy!

Those freckles!

We tried to make him feel special on his actual birthday as well.  I took chocolate donuts into his class and Ron and I brought him McDonalds to eat for lunch, but the only picture I took that entire day, was this one, as I was tucking him in for bed.
We sure love this boy.  He is a great example of trying to choose the right everyday.  He is a good big brother and always says that if all we have in our family is more sisters, that's okay with him.

It turns out that the picture above is the only one that I took with my phone, but not the only picture from his birthday!

Brynlee's Blessing

Brynlee Kay was blessed by her father on December 7, 2014. She wore a dress purchased by Grandma Lopez and was wrapped in a blanket made by Aunt Alisa.

Grandpa Wyo was there for the blessing but had to get back to Laramie to be there as the Bishop of his ward (yes, he is now a Bishop). We snapped a few quick pictures before he jetted off.

Grandma Wyo got her turn as well.

Our [not so] little family!

Three generations.

We sure do love this little baby!
