Random Pictures from November 2017

I fell in love with silhouettes years ago and finally convinced myself that it was time to order.  I love them and am so glad I got them done.

Crazy sleeping is a common theme in our house.  Kendree must have thought that sitting upright was better than that comfy pillow.

Devynee convinced me to let her use my lip stain for church.

Daddy got some good back and neck rubs one evening.

Kendree decorated a foam cake and insisted on a picture.

Devynee selfie - love that girl!

These are the only two pictures I took on Thanksgiving day (that weren't Devynee birthday pictures). We had Grandma and Grandpa Lindstrom, Aunt Sarah and Uncle Jordan over for the day and we loved every minute.  I cooked the turkey upside down, but it was still delicious. Easton loved that card holder as he learned how to play some new games.

The kids went to Walmart with me a few days after Thanksgiving and we happened to see one of Santa's helpers.  Kendree was the only one who wanted to visit with him.

Kendree and Easton had their piano recital this evening. They both did great!

Due to the generosity of his uncle Adam and "favorite guy" Marc, Easton was able to go to the Border War in Laramie. He got to stand on the sideline during the coin toss and then froze through the rain and snow, but we wouldn't have it any other way! Go Pokes!

You show me a baby who doesn't teethe on pop beads and I'll show you a baby who doesn't own any pop beads.

Exciting news!

A little back up to Halloween because I like to toot my own horn. Easton was set on being a Wyoming football player, but play/kid helmets for UW do NOT exist. I was able to buy a used kid football helmet on eBay, use some vinyl decals and duct tape and voila! A UW helmet! It turned out even better than I hoped.

Kendree, Devynee, Grandma and I were able to go see Beauty and the Beast at the Candlelight Theater this weekend. They both LOVED it. IT's so fun to have girls dates like this!

Someone found her sister's play makeup and had quite a good time.

The other day the two young girls were running errands with me. I bought some circus peanuts (don't judge, I love those things). I handed one back to Hallee to quiet her for the last 10 minutes home. When we got into the garage, I went to get her out and thought she was allergic to the circus peanuts, my mind started racing about medicine, doctors, etc. then I looked closer and realized her bottom lip was just stuck weirdly to her chin. I laughed and laughed, took pictures, cleaned her up, and put her down for a nap.

You know that awesome (ahem, not cheap, ahem) metal swing set we bought and put together this summer? Well, our insane Cheyenne wind storm today had some plans of its own. Ugh!

Hallee was as excited about the jump seat in the bathroom as I was. These things are genius and should be mandatory in all public restrooms. #canigetanamen #momlife

Happiest of Thanksgiving Birthdays to our six year old Devynee girl! She was a great sport since she knew she didn't get to pick the meal today. And, cake is not her favorite, so a giant sugar cookie it was! We love this spunky girl and are so glad we got to celebrate her with family. She loved her pink cowboy hat and pink cowgirl boots and wore them around the rest of the night! Now, she has six years before she has to share Thanksgiving again in 2023.

Church will wear ya right out...

Videos from November 2017

Brynlee really did not want to eat her bite of broccoli this night at dinner.  We were the mean parents who recorded the whole thing.

Brynlee loves to play in the gymnastics playroom while Kendree and Devynee are in their gymnastics class.  The first time we went into the room, I set it up into a circular obstacle course and then I was forced to set up the exact. same. course. every time after that.

Easton and Kendree had a piano recital in November.  They did great!

Hallee dancing.  Baby dancing is the best.

Devynee turns six!

Devynee was such a good sport sharing her birthday with Thanksgiving this year. She asked me a few weeks before "Since I can't pick dinner on my birthday, can I pick a dessert besides pie?" Sweet girl! She of course got to pick a dessert and we took her out the day after for "her" dinner.

Devynee is excelling in Kindergarten.  She knows 167 sight words (they hope all kids will recognize 100 by the end of Kindergarten) and is quite the mathematician as well.  She loves going to school and learning.  Around the house, Devynee is my girl who needs the occasional nap still and will ask to go to bed if things are going too late for her.  She is the first kid to follow any instructions 99% of the time.  When everyone is asked to do the pajama, brush, etc. routine in the evening, she is done with all of that before some of her siblings have even started to move in the direction of their bedroom.  We love our big six year old!

The pink cowgirl (don't try to say cowboy, she'll correct you) hat and boots she really, REALLY wanted.

Giant cookie for her "cake."
