Easton's Birthday!

This was the first year that Easton realized he could request somewhere other than McDonald's for his birthday dinner (oh, my wallet hurts!). We went to Guadalajara and he begged to wear the hat, and then was mortified when it happened.

We opened presents and he was thrilled!

He has lots of help, whenever he needs it.

Minecraft sword for the win.

 All the loot.

He was so patient, as we didn't get around to doing cake and ice cream for a few days.

Can't believe he is 8!

Random November 2015

Brynlee is big enough for my favorite Christmas outfit.  All three girls have worn it.  She wasn't too keen on pictures though. :)

We try to go outside anytime that we can!

Easton is a very serious Broncos fan. He likes to get on his jersey and spread out his blankets to watch the games (sometimes he gets every Bronco item he owns to put on the blanket as well).

Getting older means losing more teeth.  It never seems to get less traumatic for Easton though, tears every time.

Until it is over and he realizes it didn't actually hurt at all. :)

Easton made this sign and taped it to the door of Ronnie and my closet months ago.  We finally documented it.

Easton's first piano lesson.  Thank goodness for people with talents that I don't have (like teaching my children).

Dad and I drove out to see if there were any elk on the ranch the evening of Thanksgiving. We didn't see anything, but the ranch was gorgeous!  Think frost on every branch and needle.

Even the sign was frosted (but hard to take a picture of).

The New House: November 2015

This month we got trenches dug for utilities, final grading done and exterior concrete on the outside.  I went out to approve the forms for the cement on the front porch and sidewalk (I still laugh a little when I think about how much my adult self LOVES cement).

Backtracking a bit, this was before the forms but shows the roof!

And the trenches (oh so exciting!)

On the inside, heating, plumbing, electrical and framing were all finished in November (still a few things to fix to pass inspection, but we are very, very close!)

While Ronnie and my dad were working on the heating, it was FREEZING, but it sure was pretty (although hard to capture in pictures).

The kids helped hammer in the boots for the heating upstairs.  It was a very cold day, but they were good little workers.

Three sisters. Playing nicely, All thrilled. Has to be documented or it never happened.

Easton started piano lessons today. He is super enthusiastic (for today at least) and has practiced three different times already. Excited for him to learn an instrument I love so dearly.

Loving the weather this weekend! Yesterday we made sure to get outside and do a little swinging.

Over a week ago, this guy took me on a date to The Lion King. It was amazing!

All 4 kids as the turtle.  Can you name them?

All three girls in the same Christmas dress.

Happy 4th Birthday to our Devynee! She is mama's best buddy all day and lights up our house. Strangers always stop her to comment on her cuteness and she revels in it. She is thrilled to be the star of the show today and finally 4 like all of her church friends.

Over the summit and through the plains to Grandmother's house we go!

Finished a terrific Thanksgiving Day with a quick trip to the ranch to see if we could find some elk [we saw two deer, a coyote and a snow hare but no elk]. The ranch was gorgeous and I got to spend some one on one time with my dad, so all in all it was pretty great.

Grandpa promised the kids that they could help him put the heating in our new house. We neglected to realize that we would be doing that in single digit temperatures when we made the promise. So, today we donned our snow gear and hammered in all the boots (HVAC term) in the upstairs. Great little helpers!

Devynee's 4th Birthday!

As it turns out, we have turned our kids 4th birthdays into Chuck E. Cheese birthdays.  We don't actually do a party there, but we do meet there to play some games and eat some pizza. Devynee was thrilled to get to open a few presents early.

We enjoyed lots of games and spent lots of money to earn our $4 prizes.

She was thrilled with the day and with her presents (crown and stick horse shown here).

Two days later, on Dev's actual birthday, we followed up with more presents!

She raked it in and loved it all!

Devynee chose Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for her cake.  This is not indicative of her favorite shows or interests currently, so I'm not sure where it came from.  :)

Happy Birthday Devynee!  We love you and are so glad you are a part of our family!
