Kendree's 6th Birthday!

Our sweet Kendree turned six! She had a pretty great day.  Dad brought her a Happy Meal at lunch, she got to skip gymnastics and we had Arby's at dinner.

This little one needed a little spotlight as well.

All the loot!!!

Her Shopkins cake.

A few days later, we had the Lindstrom side of the family over for some more celebrating!

Grandpa was a big fan of the party hats.

Brynlee was not quite as big of a fan of the hats.

Then she opened a new chair for her new bedroom and everyone needed a turn!

Instagram: January 2016

The other day I sacrificed one of the good chocolates [read: not the Hershey Kisses] in order to get a few extra minutes of Brynlee in her high chair while I was cleaning. I think we all know who the victor was here.

This poor thing took a big digger earlier this week (the asphalt on the playground definitely won). She is a tough cookie, but broke down crying because she said she looked like a duck.

Easton (with the ball) is loving basketball. Today was his first game. He did great and even scored 6 points. He was disappointed that they didn't give him 3 points for the "3 pointer" he made. So fun to watch him do something he loves.

Some new house progress on the outside. Wrapped styrofoamed and basecoat of stucco going up! Inside, the insulation should be done in the next few days and then on to drywall!

For a 15 month old, she has quite the obsession with pencils, pens, markers, etc. and knows just what to do with them.  Most of the time she is supervised and does a good job on paper. My walls are a testament that unsupervised moments also happen.

This enthusiastic Kindergartener became a Math Master this week! So proud of her and her diligence!

KaLee, the mom from 5 years ago would have never let this happen. It's amazing how a few years of motherhood chill you out and allow you to embrace the 4 year old cracking the eggs all by herself. #sheissurprisinglygoodatit

First Pinewood Derby is in the books! Somehow, we even eeked out a first place finish among the other Wolves. Easton is already planning next year's car.

The New House: January 2016

January brought the base coat of stucco (the house will not be gray).

Insulation started going up.
Living room.

Bedroom 1 upstairs.

Family room.

Eating area.

Garage.

More garage.

Door to the mudroom, off the garage.

More family room.

More basecoat on the outside!

Random January Pictures

Brynlee loves feeling like a big girl and carrying around purses whenever she has a chance.

Devynee and Kendree started gymnastics and Devynee was showing off her back bends (or something like that).

Devynee's perspective.

For several weeks in January, Brynlee was obsessed with the mini Books of Mormon.  She carried them EVERYWHERE we went!  It was very cute and begged to be documented.

Kendree took a major digger on the playground.  It was the saddest.

Easton playing a little bit of basketball.  He loved it and can't wait for next year.

Kendree became a Math Master at school!  She was so excited!

Brynlee really perfected her walking skills during gymnastics twice a week. We walked the long hallway about a bazillion times.

Hard to see, but this is Devynee practicing on the trampoline.

And this is Kendree.

Easton's first pinewood derby was in January.  His car was blue and orange (Broncos colors) and weighed in at exactly 5 oz.

He and dad had a lot of fun and by some miracle he took 1st place out of the Wolves.  He was so proud and excited!
