Random April 2015

Kendree drew this picture for a friend.  It is a zebra with the sky, sun and some flowers.  I love it!

We got to have cousins come visit for Easter and they all wanted to hold the baby!

Except Todd, who just wanted to hold his monkey...

Cute Brynlee in her bumbo!

Just another day, laundry piled on every inch of the couch and Devynee needing her picture taken.

And we couldn't forget Kendree!

Swinging girls.

A video of the girls swinging.  One of my favorite things ever.

Daddy sent me this cute picture when I was stuck in work meetings.  Just the way to wrench my heart!

The fun of holding the baby has NOT worn off for this girl.  She is a great helper and will be a great mama someday.

This one was taken by one of the girls, just a typical day, playing on mama's lap.

A little egg dying between sessions!

A grainy and horrible picture, but our Easton performed in the talent show today!  He told jokes. His favorite: Why was the nose sad? Because he didn't get picked.

I'm currently on the floor playing with this little one. She was a little crabby and it's not quite time for her nap, so we're enjoying a little play time.

Yesterday Brynlee turned 6 months old! Half a year! It doesn't quite seem possible. She is a happy baby who loves noting more than to have people to look at and talk to. She is rolling both ways and learning a little more mobility every day. to celebrate this milestone, we let her taste her first rice cereal. It went about as you'd expect.

Six months means rice cereal!  The other kids were disappointed that she didn't just start gobbling it up.

The view out my backdoor. I'm not gonna lie, I actually love spring storms. They are beautiful, give us moisture and melt quickly.

Look what I'm watching! I'll let you know if I have to leave before it's over and also, you can plan on some middle of the night phone calls when I can't sleep. #youknowiwill

The day your kid leans how to pump on a swing is the best day ever!

Attended the beautiful wedding of a family friend and thanks to our fun buddy Joshua, both girls' dancing dreams came true!

Easton in the Talent Show

Easton was in his school's talent show in April.  He told a few jokes and did great.

Brynlee: 6 months

This little doll turned six months old!  In broken record fashion, I'll do an update.  Brynlee is sleeping through the night, taking 3 naps a day and loves to be entertained.  She rotates from her excersaucer, to the swing, to the floor, to a siblings arms, to the car seat to run some errands and repeat and repeat again.

At her 6 month appointment she weighed 12 lbs. 12 oz and was not on the charts.  The doctor isn't concerned for now, since I had waited to introduce rice cereal and other foods, but if she doesn't improve at her 9 month appointment, they will do some more digging.

We gave her some rice cereal the day she turned six months old (April 15th) and it went about like this:

Easter!

My pictures of Easter are pathetic to say the least, but let it be known that the Easter bunny arrived.

We also dyed eggs.

A video of the action:

We also had an egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa's.

All the cousins sorted their loot.

We are so grateful for a reason to celebrate our Savior and his resurrection.  What a wonderful time of year to be reminded of all that He has done for us!

Off on an adventure. Canada here we come!

A quick drive out to the Vancouver temple.  Beautiful, as usual and very bright (as evidenced by all of my squinting).

More from Canada. Happy Brynlee, views to die for and all you can eat sushi and Korean BBQ.

While we were gone the kids were spoiled rotten by grandma and grandpa. Movie nights, crafts and prizes.

Brynlee rolls!  Easton's commentary at the end is my favorite. Brynlee is blessed with siblings that adore her. (On a separate note, I dread the times when my babies start to be mobile.  Why do they have to get bigger?)

5 months today! Brynlee is the sweetest. She sleeps through the night, naps like a swaddled champ and goes with the flow of our crazy family. She can roll tummy to back and is thisclose to rolling the other way. she is the most ticklish thing you've ever seen and lights up when her siblings pay attention to her (which is all the time). I'm not sure how it is possible that 5 months have gone by since she was born. Time flies!

These are my favorite. Walmart doesn't always stock them, so when they are there, I stock up!  I'll pay 50 cents any day if it makes cleaning my crock pot a breeze! #happyhint

Another one bites the dust. Tooth#3 is out and waiting for that tooth fairy to come...

That pesky leprechaun turned our milk green, but he left some chocolate coins to make up for it.  My favorite part was the kids "finding" other things that he did to the house. Like turning a bike helmet over, putting a piece of paper on the ground, etc. (Both were not touched by the leprechaun). Gotta love the joy kids find!

Wishing you a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Working on holiday pillows for the YM/YW auction...I'm going to have a hard time giving these up!

Easton has faith, do you? #gowyo

Had an amazing time with @bethanyjackman at the Garth Brooks concert last night!  Just sorry that Ronnie had to stay home sick.

Bucket list item: See Garth Brooks in concert [Check!]

Last two pillows, ready just in time for tonight's auction.

I think it's safe to say that Devynee enjoyed our "Kendree got her kindergarten shots" ice cream!

When I picked up Kendree from preschool, her teachers asked me if Easton had broken his arm (they taught him as well). He has NOT broken his arm and they proceeded to tell me that Kendree had been telling them all week about Easton's broken arm and his blue cast and how it has to be on for 10 weeks and how he had to come home from school at lunch time for a few days after, etc.  Since they wanted to "sign" his cast the teachers put together a sweet note with a picture of a cast and well wishes.  I have a feeling we're in trouble when she's a teenager if she is this good at "stories" now.

Took some pictures before church of the kids in their "Easter" outfits since next week is General Conference and wouldn't you know that the goofy one is my favorite.

Today I finished a personal challenge to read the entire Book of Mormon in the month of March. Just about 20 pages a day and it was amazing.  These verses in Moroni chapter 9 are just a few of the many that I love. I'm so grateful for this book of scripture and its guidance in my life. #imamormon
