Easton's Baseball Season

Easton was in the AA league this year and hit off a pitching machine. You could strike out and three outs ended an inning.  They kept score, but stealing of bases was limited. He had a very fun time and loved playing on the Twins.

This is the only non-video I took of him at bat.  He was #10.

Every time he scored he did a weird fist pump thing. I tried to capture it lots of times, but this was the best I could ever get.









The girls did SO great at the many, many games we attended.  One time, Kendree and her new found friends for the night (she makes new friends every time we go to the fields) found a "nest" of lady bugs.  Each kid (and there were about six kids) had 10+ ladybugs on their hands when they came to show me.  It was crazy!

The Post 6 team hosts a kids clinic each year.  Easton attended with a few teammates and loved it!

The season ended with the Twins in 6th place (out of 13 teams).  In the tournament we could never quite get everything flowing, but Easton sure did have fun! He already can't wait for next summer.

A Quilt for McCoy

Before I knew that my nephew McCoy was McCoy, I knew that he was a boy, so I made him a quilt. Every once in a while I like to prove to myself that my life is not totally consumed by children and work. :)

The toys in the pictures keep it real though, right?

Angels Game

The Angels came to Denver to play the Rockies and we decided to go down to a game.

Surprisingly (or maybe not if you know how much Ronnie loves the Angels) we had shirts/hats for everyone in the family!

The girls loose interest fairly quickly, but luckily there is lots to do!

It killed Easton to take his eyes off the field for this picture.

As the game went on, Kendree and Devynee made friends with this kind man.  They literally talked to him for at least an entire inning.  He enjoyed it as much as they did.

We lost one as the game went on.

Daddy has the magic touch for getting all of our babies to sleep in unusual places.

Now if we could get the Angels to come to Denver more often (or travel to California more often) this guy would be even happier.

The 4th of July

You know how when you go camping, it takes the same amount of equipment for one night as it does for a week? I really hate that as we almost always only have one night. :)

Here's the truck loaded to the gills.

We take a little short cut to the ranch that takes us near the Ames Monument. This day I asked Ronnie to go closer so I could get a picture.

And just thirty minutes later we arrived at one of my favorite places, The Snowflea Ranch.

These two are most often a little at odds with one another, but on this particular day they were playing like the best of friends.  Never mind that they decided to lay down in pokey grass.  Crazy.

Most of us (except for Grandma who volunteered to stay behind with a napping Brynlee) went on a hike to the Monahan Pond to do a little rock throwing.

Grandpa spent the time spraying for thistles.  It's his mission and we appreciate it.

 Brynlee had a pretty sweet set up in the high chair. Watching it all and eating puffs.

We had some sparkler fun and a little mini firework show when it got dark.

 It was a great two days with family, good food and fun!  Devynee was asleep just minutes after we got headed home. Filthy and exhausted, but the best kind of both!

Random June

When we were taking end of school year pictures, Devynee needed one as well.

My friend sent this over.  Easton entertained her baby for a while at the school field day. He is a pretty great big brother.

Technically, her last day was Tuesday, but we took the picture today because that's how I roll.  Kendree has had a great year of Pre-K with Miss Donna and Miss Sarah and can't wait for Kindergarten!

Today is Easton's last day of  1st grade! He has loved every minute. He has a love for math and reading and sports at recess (of course). Here's to summer!

I have declared this summer The Summer of the Snow Cones. This was our inaugural visit in Cheyenne. Devynee could not be bothered to look at the camera when she had that Tiger's Blood creation in front of her. #cantsayiblameher

Devynee had a little nap-a-roo during Easton's game last night. Mama was envious as 8 ball games in 6 days was a little much this week.

Happy Father's Day to this wonderful guy! I'm so grateful for his humor, his help, his guidance, his coaching, his patience, his love and his faith as we work to raise the four amazing kids we've been blessed with. We love you, Ronnie!

It wouldn't be a proper Father's Day without mentioning these two amazing men. Ray has raised a wonderful son and my children adore him. My dad is the best. Just the best. We love you both!

This little darling turned 8 months old (last week) and we finally took some pictures! Brynlee lights up when anyone pays attention to her and unless she just woke up is one of the smiley-est babies you'll meet. She loves baby food and nursing alike and takes 2 naps a day. She is putting mama to the test by getting up at least 2 times a night. Ugh. Brynlee gets all around the room, but not very quickly.  She rolls, army crawls and scoots to get where she wants to go.  She goes with the flow as she is dragged from ball game to swimming to ball game and we love her to bits and pieces.

We got to meet our new cousin Jaxon this week. We are in love! Kendree told me as we were leaving that she loves baby Jaxon a little more than Brynlee.

Wicked with my love. Wonderful birthday present that I got to cash in six months later.

Easton loved the Post 6 Kids Clinic today.  The kid loves his baseball.

When your tee ball game is rained out, Aunt Sarah saves the day by reading all the library books. We're not sure what we're going to do when she leaves us for a little thing called a job later this summer.
