The New House: October 2015

Framing was started and mainly completed in October.

I'll let these pictures mainly speak for themselves, as I'm not sure that anyone but Ronnie and I really care about them. :)

After chopping off my hair this week, the girls insisted on doing the same. I busted out my hair cutting skills, or lack thereof but they turned out pretty dang cute!

Every hunting widow's prayer is for their husband to bag one quickly. Another year, another relatively short season. He is making it hard for me to get one bigger than him though. #nowtherolesreverse #myturn #ijustneedmydadorbrothertogooutwithme

This, my friends, is my new house. A crazy adventure that is teaching Ronnie and I a LOT! We're being our own contractors and get to do fun things like order porta-potties, nag subs and make every single decision. And now, it finally looks like something more than a hole in the ground, so I can share!

Beautiful morning spent hunting with my brother Adam. We didn't see a single elk, but at least we enjoy each other's company. #milesandmilesandmileshiked

Brynlee is 1! In true cliche form, I can't believe it has been a year! She is so sweet and loves to be in the action. At 1, she can sign more, all done, please and grandma. She doesn't say any words eonsistently except "ba" for her stuffed bear. She is cruising along anything she can find and practicing her balancing, but no walking yet. She is weaned and sleep trained and now sleeps through the night. Mama is a new woman. She takes 2 naps a day and loves to eat anything we are eating. No teeth yet. We sure love this little one!

Brynlee was a fan of the frosting and cake! We celebrated her birthday with family today. So fun!

Annual "Carving of the Pumpkins" FHE. Nothing too fancy over here. Our excitement is what shape of nose you want. #mamaistired #simplify #oldschool

As! You! Wish! The couple costumes for 2015. Found on clearance last year, as per usual.

Happy Halloween from our turtle, Darth Vader, Rainbow Princess and Purple and Gold Princess! #thegirlsareveryspecificabouttheirnames #all4kidshavebeentheturtle

The best part of the turtle costume is the crawling baby inside of it.

Pumpkin Carving and Halloween!

Devynee and her pumpkin

Kendree and her pumpkin

Easton

All three.

The kids school had a Halloween parade.  Easton was too cool to acknowledge me during it.

Kendree did not have the same problem.

Serious face.  Darth does NOT smile.

October Hunting

Ronnie had a very successful year this year.  Me, not so much.

First, he got this nice buck. Kendree insisted on being in the pictures.  Our kids are not grossed out in the slightest with all of this stuff.

I spent a lot (a LOT) of time hiking and some time letting other people hike and flush the elk to me (never happened).  This time I was on Quartz Hill (named for the thousands of quartz rocks embedded in the hill) and dad hiked through the canyon.  See that black thing that kind of looks like a person?  I actually took this picture to prove to him that he may need a new "hunters orange" hat as I couldn't see it.

At least I love the views, since the animals were scarce.

The day that I elected to stay home, was of course the day that Ronnie got his bull.  Such is life.

My brother Adam and I went out another day.  Lots of hiking, lots of waiting, no animals.

Brynlee Birthday Videos

Brynlee claps

Random October 2015

Brynlee was devouring taco soup and got a piece of meat stuck on her nose.  The kids thought it was hilarious.

Went to lunch with a friend and tried to get a picture of Brynlee enjoying a lemon.  Got this cheesy grin instead.

Easton became a Math Master at school!

Kendree has a deaf little boy in her grade (not her class) and the entire Kindergarten has been working hard on sign language.  Here is a video of her signing her name.

Brynlee crawls for the fridge as fast as she can anytime that it is open.  Then, if she can manage, she stands just like this until someone (mom) removes her.

One night Brynlee wasn't settling in her crib, so Ronnie brought her out to the front room. She scooted around the room with her stuffed bear underneath her (you can't really see the bear in the picture) and then fell asleep on the carpet.

Ronnie made a quick trip to Utah to pick up heating stuff for the house.  While there he took pictures of the giant pumpkin that is growing inside of my grandparent's apple tree.  So funny!
