Instagram: May 2015

After wracking my brain for a week and calling every store I shopped at, I had given up hope of finding this quilt.  Turns out I left it at the doctors office! #moreattachedtoithanithought #brynleewouldntknowitwasgonebutiwould

Easton had a school music program this week and Devynee thought we were all there to see her performance. #shegetshermovesfromhermama

My Mother's Day geraniums patiently waiting for the snow to melt so they can find their home outside. I love geraniums and I can't even really tell you why, I just do.

I'm so grateful for the examples of my mama, my mother-in-law, my grandmas and the many women who surround me.  Happy Mother's Day! #yellowforthewin

It's this guy's birthday today! 34 years young and loving life. I don't know what I would do without him!  He keeps me sane, reminds me to laugh and is the best. Happy Birthday Ron!

It's not the most unique shape, this state of mine, but I sure do love Wyoming and my new Wyoming necklace. #thanksmomanddad

Enjoying some park time while we wait for Kendree to be done with preschool. Loving this weather!

My lunch dates. Brynlee loves the fries!

7 months and my broken record is officially....uh....fixed? Brynlee has decided that with her need for an earlier bedtime (8pmish) she now needs to eat during the night. I've been indulging her and it is slowly killing me, so I think it's time for a little sleep training again. During the day, she eats 2-3 baby food and rice cereal meals and nurses as well. She takes 2 good naps a day and a little cat nap around dinner time. She continues to love any and all attention, and rolls all over the place. She is a pro at rolling from back to front and then does a wiggle-scoot-stretch thing to work her way around. she only rolls from front to back on accident and very occasionally. We are working on sitting up, but she isn't quite there yet. Hooray for baby Brynlee!

Swinging at grandma's house! We're looking forward to some warm weather around here.

This sweet thing just spent 30 minutes making her Indian tassels out of paper. I love her creativity!

May Videos

Devynee had a good time dancing at Easton's school singing program.  She entertained more than just our family. :)

A random evening at our house.

Random May

A smiley baby in a bouncer.

Hanging with mama at the park.

Brynlee and I attended Aunt Sarah's graduation.  I didn't get any pictures of that on my phone, but I did get a picture of Brynlee inside the practice facility to make Easton jealous.

Brynlee: 7 months

Cute little Brynlee is now 7 months old! She has decided that sleeping through the night is for the birds. She is now phasing out that third nap (dinner time nap) and going to bed around 8:00 p.m. As such, she wakes up once a night to eat and then sleeps until 6:30 or 7:00 a.m.

She is napping two times a day (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) and eats 2-3 baby food and rice cereal meals a day. She loves any and all attention and rolls all over the place. She is a pro at rolling from back to front and then does a wiggle-scoot-stretch thing to work her way around.  She only rolls from front to back on accident and very occasionally. She likes to practice sitting up, but can't do it on her own yet. Soon, very soon.

Ronnie's Birthday (34)

Ronnie turned 34 on May 11th! We went out for mexican at lunch and I made them bring the sombrero out. He was thrilled, obviously.

Present opening was fun as well.  Ties are always necessary and appreciated when you are an attorney by day and a Bishop every other second (and during the day too).

The kids were happy to help open cards and presents.

We had angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream.  I stuck (or laid) some candles on top.

Some  great friends also took the opportunity to decorate our garage.  It was so sweet. When I told my friend that Ronnie likes Butterfingers and Milky Ways, I didn't think this was the way they would be used. :)

Random April 2015

Kendree drew this picture for a friend.  It is a zebra with the sky, sun and some flowers.  I love it!

We got to have cousins come visit for Easter and they all wanted to hold the baby!

Except Todd, who just wanted to hold his monkey...

Cute Brynlee in her bumbo!

Just another day, laundry piled on every inch of the couch and Devynee needing her picture taken.

And we couldn't forget Kendree!

Swinging girls.

A video of the girls swinging.  One of my favorite things ever.

Daddy sent me this cute picture when I was stuck in work meetings.  Just the way to wrench my heart!

The fun of holding the baby has NOT worn off for this girl.  She is a great helper and will be a great mama someday.

This one was taken by one of the girls, just a typical day, playing on mama's lap.

A little egg dying between sessions!

A grainy and horrible picture, but our Easton performed in the talent show today!  He told jokes. His favorite: Why was the nose sad? Because he didn't get picked.

I'm currently on the floor playing with this little one. She was a little crabby and it's not quite time for her nap, so we're enjoying a little play time.

Yesterday Brynlee turned 6 months old! Half a year! It doesn't quite seem possible. She is a happy baby who loves noting more than to have people to look at and talk to. She is rolling both ways and learning a little more mobility every day. to celebrate this milestone, we let her taste her first rice cereal. It went about as you'd expect.

Six months means rice cereal!  The other kids were disappointed that she didn't just start gobbling it up.

The view out my backdoor. I'm not gonna lie, I actually love spring storms. They are beautiful, give us moisture and melt quickly.

Look what I'm watching! I'll let you know if I have to leave before it's over and also, you can plan on some middle of the night phone calls when I can't sleep. #youknowiwill

The day your kid leans how to pump on a swing is the best day ever!

Attended the beautiful wedding of a family friend and thanks to our fun buddy Joshua, both girls' dancing dreams came true!

Easton in the Talent Show

Easton was in his school's talent show in April.  He told a few jokes and did great.

Brynlee: 6 months

This little doll turned six months old!  In broken record fashion, I'll do an update.  Brynlee is sleeping through the night, taking 3 naps a day and loves to be entertained.  She rotates from her excersaucer, to the swing, to the floor, to a siblings arms, to the car seat to run some errands and repeat and repeat again.

At her 6 month appointment she weighed 12 lbs. 12 oz and was not on the charts.  The doctor isn't concerned for now, since I had waited to introduce rice cereal and other foods, but if she doesn't improve at her 9 month appointment, they will do some more digging.

We gave her some rice cereal the day she turned six months old (April 15th) and it went about like this:

Easter!

My pictures of Easter are pathetic to say the least, but let it be known that the Easter bunny arrived.

We also dyed eggs.

A video of the action:

We also had an egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa's.

All the cousins sorted their loot.

We are so grateful for a reason to celebrate our Savior and his resurrection.  What a wonderful time of year to be reminded of all that He has done for us!
