An Announcement
We are very excited to announce Baby #5 is on his or her way! I'm due September 30th and feeling great.

The New House: March
Turns out that there are some things you learn along the way when you are your own general contractor. One is to use the right kind of shower pan. We've had two different glass companies out to give us their thoughts and are still a little ways away from a solid plan. Oh well, live and learn!

The paint was completed in March. Ronnie took this picture to show me the closets. The painter painted them all white on the inside (we didn't request this, but I LOVE it).
Cabinet installation also was started in March. This is the island.

"Landing station" inside the garage door and the lockers.
Lights were installed. The only one I took a picture of was the dining room chandelier (in bad lighting no less).
A few quick pictures of the granite we selected. This is the stuff for everywhere but the laundry room.
And this is the more white-toned one for the laundry room (there are white cabinets in there).
Pictures of the handles we chose (this was by far the most frustrating and hard decisions in the entire house to date). I don't know that I need to go into it here, but to find decently priced handles (I needed 107 of them) that feel good to hold was WAY harder than I thought.
These handles are in the bathrooms and laundry room. I like the look of them and they were less expensive, but they don't feel as sturdy in your hand.
These are the ones in the kitchen and the mudroom that is visible to the kitchen. They feel "richer" in your hand and fit larger hands better but don't have a weird open spot in the back of them for grimy kid hands to fill with yucky stuff. Seriously, I know I overthink some of these things, but the last thing I want to do is regret things and want to spend hundreds of dollars all over again.

Unfortunately, both the bigger girls had cavities (boo!) so we had to get them fixed. Both wanted to see what their "elephant noses" looked like, so I obliged.

Ronnie and his dad have worked SO hard to get this floor done. I love it! I'm sure it looks even better without all the sawdust on top. ;)
This full of life girl earned her Math Einstein award this week! She is thrilled (doubly so because she beat her brother to the punch)! I can't believe I ever worried about her in school, she is thriving!
With company in town, Easton has had the privilege of camping out in the girls room. He has decided that sleeping under the bunk bed is the way to go. Silly boy.
On the first walk around the block this spring. So far we've been out for 20 minutes and not made it halfway yet. Scooting with four-year-olds takes all of my patience.
This wonderful first home of ours is for sale!
I'm participating in what my friend @rosenbrown called March Madness again this year. The challenge is to read the Book of Mormon in its entirety in the month of March. That means 17 pages a day. I just got to one of my favortie stories. Teancum! So grateful for this book and all it teaches me. {I hate doing the math of 17 pages a day so I just read 20 to make my brain hurt less}

Last week (I know, I know, I'm a little behind) Kendree received a "Safe Behavior" Award! (I'm pretty sure that just means she follows the rules and helps others). She was ecstatic and we are so proud! #blurrypicturedontcare
Today I completed my March Madness challenge and finished reading the Book of Mormon. This is becoming a month I look forward to each year. I'm so grateful for this book of scripture and all I learn each time I read and study it. I know that it is the word of God and that Jesus Christ is my Savior.
You know your baby doesn't feel good when she falls asleep less than 2 hours after waking up, on the carpet of the main room with your other crazies running around. Poor thing!
Mom's slacker-ness regarding egg dying turned into the perfect snow day activity.

The New House: February 2016
My picture taking was very lacking in February. It was COLD and I didn't head out to the house all that often. We did get all insulated, then sheet-rocked and textured this month though, so there was a lot going on.
Ronnie's dad also came out for 3 full weeks and worked so hard on the house. Ron and his dad started by laying all the hardiebacker for tile and then decided that in order to keep them both sane and in the interest of time, we should hire out the installation of the tile. Best decision we every made. It was worth every penny. Then then moved on to installing the wood floor.

It was really hard to take accurate pictures of the first part they installed due to the lights.
And here was the beginning of the tile by our awesome tile guy. Still think he was some of the best money we spent. (Master bath).
