Random Catch Up: January 2014

Aunt Kari sent this sweet shirt, and Devynee would wear basically nothing else for two weeks, so we had to document it. :)

The kids got in some cardo with a little Just Dance Kids.  I could watch them do this for hours.  Even though I should be joining in.

Kendree helped Grandpa Wyo and Daddy on a project and the dirty tools led to dirty hands, led to a dirty mustache.

Speaking of that project, they were installing a fan in our master bathroom (that bathroom has a small window which means that according to code, we didn't need a fan, but who opens the window in January?). Ron let the spry 56 year old climb up in the attic (although this picture is actually of Ron checking things out).

We always say that no project is complete without dad getting an injury and this one was true to form.  A nail coming through the roof, got him on the head. Thankfully, it looked a lot worse that it was.

I don't have any pictures of the finished product, as I assume you have all seen a bathroom fan, but it should be noted that the first one we installed was defective so Ronnie had to climb back up into the attic to install another one.

Thanks for the help Dad!

Egg fun on a Sunday morning.

You know, just another winter day in Wyoming...

This sweet one was up all night throwing up.  Hopefully she is the only one to get it. #yeahright #fingerscrossedanyway

Kendree begged me for a "whole" turkey sandwich. She just announced she is done. #lookslikeimhavingturkey

Dedicated to finished this Shrinky Dink project!

Four kids. (I borrowed one). Could they be sitting any closer? Gotta love little kids non-personal boundaries issues.

My chef at work. #ifonlyshecouldreallymakeallourmeals

"Mom, this jump rope is broken. I can't jump over it. Will you buy me a new one?"

This beautiful, spunky girl turns FOUR today!  Happy Birthday Kenny-girl! (She even got to celebrate at Chuck E. Cheese on Saturday).

Today I get to celebrate 9 years with this guy. Love him! (Ignore the reflection of my phone, our wedding was shot with film!)

Devynee had fun making her silly faces for me!

I love to see the temple. Such a fun girls trip! #lasvegastemple

These dollar store sticker books provide HOURS of entertainment around here. #thanksgrandma!

Spending the day at #FrugalityBootCamp with funcheaporfree.com. Here's to achieving our financial goals!

Love spending time with family! Watch us save INCREDIBLE amounts of money after #frugalitybootcamp with funcheaporfree.com!

Baskin Robbins to top off the night. I wish I could convey to you just how difficult it is for me to make a decision at this place.  That is what working there for 3.5 years will do for you. (I ended up with eggnog, peanut butter and chocolate and butter pecan. Also a scoop of New York Cheesecake for breakfast the next day. #notkidding #atleasttheywerekidscoops)

Our first major "glasses" injury. #looksworsethanitis #ipromise

A little Easton

Easton was given a Broncos jersey and football from Grandma and Grandpa Cali for his birthday.  To say he loves them is an understatement!

On new years day, Ron mentioned to Easton that it was time to cut his hair.  Easton asked to have no hair, or in his words "be balt."

We obliged, but first gave him a little mohawk.

Hopefully he can stay warm!

Kendree singing Move It! Yes, she is saying moo-ga.

The kids shake it.

Devynee attempts a somersault.

The Baby Doll Beds

There is nothing like changing your mind on what you are giving all of your young nieces (and your two daughters) on November 29th.

That is exactly what happened when I saw this post on MADE.

Suddenly I was making six (yes, SIX) baby doll baskets before Christmas.

This was a pattern that was not like those I am used to sewing, as the cutting and prep work took more than 75% of your completion time, so just when you were about to die with how much time you had spent cutting out six baskets worth of fabric and lining, etc. you sat down at the sewing machine and had them done in no time (relatively, anyway).

And here are the finished projects:

I like to share pictures like this to tempt my California family and friends to move here.  #rememberthisdoesntfactorinthewindchill

This boy, the one who officially made me a mother, turns 6 today! Love him! Happy Birthday Easton!

I knew things were a little two quiet... #atleasttheyarethewashablekind

Two of six baby doll baskets done. #handmadechristmas

Visiting the "real" Santa at our ward party.  My kids LOVE him and would honestly stay by this side all day. (Kendree pretty much did). #latergram

Sometimes you don't ask why they want a picture with a blanket on their head, you just go with it.

Baby doll baskets #3 and 4. I had separation anxiety as I packed them in a box bound for California. Guess that means they didn't turn out too bad. :) Alisa - hope the girls like them!

Christmas singing program!  Easton got to wear pajamas and bring his lovey "Horsey" to school. Best. Day. Ever.

There. Are. No. Words. #excepticantwaittorestagethisonein15years

Finished the two final baby doll beds!  These ones will live in my own house.  After watching me make all 6, I know Kendree will love them.

Random November and December

Before I go and get caught up on this little blog, I thought I would post the pictures that won't have a "home" in all of the festivities.

Devynee as Elmo.

Every single tie that Easton owns (except the bow tie ones).

Kendree's preschool had some fun activities the week before Christmas.  One was making smores.  These pictures are funny to me because they showcase my utter lack of photog skills.  The lighting is HORRIBLE.

These girls are getting pretty good at playing together while Easton is at school (in fact, Christmas break threw a wrench into that).  Kendree is "in charge" and sometimes they are quite the fashionistas when they put on a "fashion show" for me.

Never a dull moment.
